Opportunity to join a large, FTSE Listed asset based business. This role is to be Divisional Finance Director for a key region of a national market leader. Well rounded role with a commercial focus.

Description
As Divisional Finance Director, you will lead a commercially focused finance team, which acts as a key business partner to the operational business, and also provides key insight and reporting to the Group Finance function.
You will be the lead finance representative for the Division, which is itself a key component of the wider business, and will oversee the provision of strategic information, which in turn contributes to board level decisions, as well as monthly accounts and periodic forecasts. Additionally, you will attain an in depth operational understanding of the business, which will enable you to proactively and positively challenge key decisions beyond the remit of your department.
You will be involved in financial modelling and writing recommendations to the board, understanding and challenging costs, presenting and delivering results and insight at board meetings with appropriate challenge and commentary, and you will lead the forecasting process.
This Divisional Finance Director role is of key importance to regional leadership team, and you will be required to operate as a critical business partner to the Managing Director.
Profile
The successful candidate for this Divisional Finance Director role will be:
- Formally qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- An experienced finance leader
- Strong in all elements of accounting and financial control, as well as commercially driven with strong business acumen
- Able to provide critical business support on project type work, new contracts, joint ventures etc
- A strong people manager, able to coach and develop your team.
This role is based in Kent and would require on sit presence a minimum of 3 days per week, to suit the needs of the organisation.
