Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a leading and well-established Manufacturing SME to recruit for a dynamic & hands-on Finance Manager/Management Accountant based in their Hereford, Herefordshire site. A permanent and varied finance position joining a leading business that are a subsidiary of a US based Group, recently restructured group will prepare the company for their next phase of growth with development opportunities on offer for the right finance professional. The position will involve all management accounting processes and financial reporting to group along with general bookkeeping for the organisation. Reporting into the CFO, you will assist improving processes/systems as the company develop further.

Your new role

Reporting directly into the CFO, your key duties will involve preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis. Partner with Sales, Operations and Commercial management/teams to drive performance of the business. Provide support to the CFO in the production of monthly Board packs and assist in developing/preparing reporting to Group. Performing month end reconciliations, providing account analysis, along with preparation and input of journals, prepayments, and accruals. You will monitor daily bank movements including actual and 3 month forecast reporting, support in ad-hoc finance duties and projects, along with oversight of all transactional duties including purchase/sales ledger processes and general bookkeeping. The position can offer future career development and the role can be tailored around the right finance professional.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting and hands-on Finance Manager/Management Accountant role you will need experience within a similar position. Part-qualified/Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience with a proven track record in providing concise management information. Able to produce information accurately to tight deadlines, key MS Excel skills and strong interpersonal skills/commercial awareness. You will be flexible and pro-active dealing with financial issues and ideally have experience of implementing new processes and procedures. It would be advantageous but not essential if you have experience of MS Dynamics finance system.

What you'll get in return

This hands-on and varied Management Accountant role is offering a salary between £40,000 - £48,000 per annum dependable on experience based in Hereford, Herefordshire. Full-time position (35 hours per week) reporting directly into the CFO supporting a small and hands-on finance function, a great opportunity to really add value and make the role your own as the business grows further and through a period of change.
