Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be partnering with a key client in the Bromsgrove area as they look to appoint a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

The business has seen tremendous growth in recent years, organically and through acquisition, and are now regarded as one of the leaders in their industry. With some exciting plans in place moving forward, an opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join their strong finance team.

Your new role
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will become responsible for your own legal entities within the Group taking ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of nominal ledgers, production of monthly management accounts and financial MI.

Key duties:

  • Production of monthly management accounts including P&L, budgets, cash flow, variance analysis and commentaries
  • Assist in the production of statutory accounts in management accounts format
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Provide management reporting for decision-making including project appraisal, evaluation and post-implementation analysis
  • Adviser and supplier payment runs
  • Payroll production (bi-weekly and monthly)
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
  • Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes

What you'll need to succeed

  • Newly qualified or part-qualified Accountant actively working towards completion of their qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of the management accounting process
  • Ambitious mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Effective organisational and planning skills
  • Delivery focused with a drive for quality throughout
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proficient with MS Office and finance packages (Access Dimensions highly desirable)
