My client is an international US owned Manufacturer based in Newport
Description
Reporting to a Divisional FD, The site FC/Plant controller will play a pivotal role in the success of the site
The role will be responsible for;
To accurately maintain Financial books of record and to utilise accounting information to manage the business and to support sound business decisions.
To deliver robust Financial forecasts/budgets driving the business to meet or exceed these targets.
Support the Product Manager and Plant Manager to establish and execute strategic initiatives, business improvement opportunities and cost efficiency projects to maximise key business performance measures, including revenue growth, EBT, cash flow and working capital efficiency.
To understand E2E profitability for the business and to increase focus on the global finance business performance as well as having responsibility for the local site P&L
To fully understand and be part of the manufacturing process, recommending lean improvements, leading GEMBA walks and deploying a "Zero" approach to health and safety incidents.
Drive the local management team in deploying the company's strategic objectives, through providing accurate and relevant management information, sound financial and business advice and a strong commercial finance skill set. Implement a robust support / coaching environment to drive forecasted numbers in key business areas such as sales and operations.
Proactively work with centralised finance team to ensure a smooth centralised Financial model through strong Business Partnering.
Profile
You will be a Fully Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA
You will have significant manufacturing experience
You will be a very hands on accountant and ideally used to working in a large matrix set up organisation
You will have good excel and systems skills. the use of SAP would be beneficial
Happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
Job Offer
A 3 - 6 month assignment whilst a permanent role is being recruited
Salary £350 - £450 per day paye or Umbrella company (inside IR35)
On site 3-4x per week in Newport, so you will live within commuting distance or be happy to stay away a few nights a week
