A growing chartered accountancy firm based in city centre Birmingham has a requirement for a Senior Accountant to join their team as a key addition to their successful business taking on the hands on delivery all around year end accounts/tax and wider services to a mixed and highly varied client base of sole traders, partnerships and predominantly limited company clients.
The firm has a great structure, allowing staff the opportunity to develop increasing responsibility, both in terms of client contact and relationship management, along with the variety and scope of technical accounting work you will get experience of, within this firm.
Description
Joining as a Senior Accountant you will have a varied role preparing accounts, corporate tax computations, management accounts, VAT and providing other, varied general practice services.
You will also be responsible for:
- Second contact for a portfolio of clients
- Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Involvement in audit
- Prepare quarterly and monthly management accounts and information
- Prepare VAT returns on a quarterly basis.
- Support and develop trainee accountants
Profile
To be successful you will have:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
- 2+ years of practice experience
- Driven and hard working
- Software experience is desirable
- Great communicator
Job Offer
- £32,000 - £35,000 or more, dependent on experience and background
