Financial Controller

I am currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for a growing Construction business based on the outskirts of Coventry to lead the team in improving processes and supporting the Group Accountant.

My Clients are a leading construction company based on the outskirts of Coventry.

Description

The Finance function has already seen considerable change and there is a need to stabilise the existing activities and review systems and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the growing business.

The Financial Controller will lead the team in stabilising and improving the processes, supporting the Group Accountant, mentoring the junior members of the team, and upgrading the management reporting structure.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a change process within a dynamic and growing business.

Profile

The Financial Controller will need to be a fully qualified accountant with at least 5 year's experience of:

• Providing reports for stakeholders and insightful analysis of figures
• Balance Sheet review - debtors, prepayments, creditors, accruals, fixed assets, VAT and Aggregates Levy supervision
• Assist in Budget and Forecasting
• Consolidation of the Group of companies (20)
• Manage a team of part qualified accountants and transactional staff
• Interaction across business functions and operations
• Systems implementation and process improvement training
• Promoting change in a fast-paced environment

You will be a team player, prepared to roll their sleeves up as necessary in a small finance function to get the job done whilst laying the foundations for improvement and growth. Must be able to work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

Job Offer

Salary between £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience

*Please note, this role will be office based 4 or 5 days per week on the outskirts of Coventry. Travel to other sites may also be required.
