3 days a week (1 day required from the office) 9 month maternity cover role starting as soon as possible


Your new role

The finance business partner will be part of the business partner team within the Group finance directorate. Jointly, as a team, the finance business partners are responsible for:

  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly accounts and production of the annual financial statements.
  • Analysis of both financial and non-financial information leading to insights needed to improve the performance of the business
  • Maintaining the financial integrity of the accounting package including maintenance and development.
  • Budget monitoring and assisting with the co-ordination and preparation of budgets, key performance indicators, forecasts and the financial plan.
  • Review cash flow monitoring, calculate optimum gift aid payments and tax calculations as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as required to enable them to complete their work within agreed timescales.
  • VAT Calculations and returns
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required by the Group head of finance or Group finance director.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Be able to start immediately
  • Do 2 full weeks in the office for an initial training period
  • Commit to 3 days a week (1 day in the office) from May-December 22
  • Full qualification is required for this role
  • Previous public sector/ housing experience is desirable but not essential
