An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a prestigious luxury products business based in central London.

Client Details

My client is a prestigious international premium drinks business based in central London and part of a larger parent company. With sales approaching £50-55m, they have about 600 active customers and over 100 orders a day and recently celebrated a record year.

Composed of 42 employees including field-based Sales, office-based Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Services and Finance.

Description

Reporting to the Financial Director, the Financial Controller will lead a team of 4 and be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee the monthly reporting process including the production of monthly management accounts and associated reports
  • Manage and prepare the monthly and bi-annual group reporting requirements to parent
  • Oversee all areas of company taxation including Corporation Tax, VAT, P11ds and PSA
  • Prepare regular cashflow forecasts and day to day management of financing facility
  • Help to produce and submit annual forecasts and budgets
  • Planning and managing the annual audit and statutory accounts preparation
  • Involvement in an annual 5-year business planning exercise
  • A position on the Management Team which meets monthly and where the Financial Controller is expected to play a role in the wider management of the company
  • Profile

    The successful Financial Controller will have the following credentials:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified
  • Financial reporting capabilities and experience ideally gained with SME
  • Experience within the wholesale/logistics distribution and supply chain/FMCG/consumer goods sector desirable
  • Good understanding of tax
  • Management experience including leading and developing a team desirable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision would be beneficial
