The management accountant will be based in London and responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting for the Group, review of P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, supporting the FP&A team through the annual budgeting cycle and quarterly re-forecasting, as well as management of the various statutory filing obligations.

Description
The management accountant's key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the management accounts and completion of month-end reporting requirements within the given deadlines.
- Ensuring all accruals and prepayment are posted accurately
- Review of all invoice and journal postings for accuracy of coding
- Liaison with the FP&A team for relevant postings and adjustments required
- Preparation of monthly management pack with in-depth analysis and commentary (e.g. variance analysis).
- Ownership of all balance sheet accounts and P&L reconciliations.
- Management of the intercompany process including reconciliations, and clearing balances from ledgers
- Key person in running the year end audit.
- Management of filing and payment for Statutory Obligations; VAT, CIS, PSA, CITB
- Completing regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) business surveys
- Management of the company Credit Card and expenses system
- Uploading of Payroll and associated information to the finance system on a monthly basis
- Assist in the insurance renewals
- Provide finance support to other departments as and when required
Profile
The management accountant should be:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a Management Accountant role
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Excellent attention to detail and an excellent communicator.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and meet tight deadlines accordingly.
- Personal drive & initiative and works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Interacts with other departments well in order to successfully complete tasks.
- Numerate and logical mind set with strong Excel skills.
- Effective at working autonomously and in a team.
