Accountant

Accountant for an innovative company that aims to improve the quality of life in the world through several technological advancements, more specifically - in their supply and trading sector. This job is hybrid, with 3 days in the Cheapside office. The contract is 6 months at £50-60K.

Your new company
An exciting company is looking for an accountant. The company provides innovative solutions to problems regarding food, shelter, clothing, and transportation.

Your new role
You will be reporting into the Financial Director, whilst focusing on the preparation of sundry balance sheet accounts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Journal preparation of sundry balance sheet accounts such as prepayments
  • Reconcile associated balance sheet accounts to VAT returns prepared by accounting firm
  • Assist with audit

What you'll need

  • Fully Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Understanding of balance sheets
  • Understanding of VAT principles
  • Understandings of debits and credits

This role will be an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative and adventurous company that is consistently striving to change the common perception of necessities. You will be working with a greatly experienced Financial Director and a driven team of accountants. The rate is £50-60K (pro rata). The period is 6 Months (with potential to go permanent).
