We are looking for a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Certified Accountant, part-qualified accountant or accountant qualified by experience to join our current team of six.
The role will include:
- managing a portfolio of clients
- reviewing and/or preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies
- preparing taxable profit calculations and analysis of capital allowances
- preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships and companies
- meeting with clients to discuss their accounts and tax returns
- submitting tax returns to HMRC
- submitting accounts and confirmation statements to Companies House
- preparing accounts and VAT returns from online bookkeeping software.
It will be an advantage to:
- be familiar with QuickBooks and Xero
- have 2 years plus experience in the majority of the job description
- have a working knowledge of PAYE matters to assist colleagues and clients in this area
- be familiar with a wide range of HMRC’s forms.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- be proficient in Excel
- be a good communicator, with colleagues and clients
- punctual to work
- focussed and organised
- able to prioritise workload towards various deadlines and clients needs.
Work available for full time employment of 37.5 hours a week but consideration of reduced hours of 22.5 plus hours will be made for the right candidate.
Work to be conducted at the office.
Contract to be initially 6 months, however this role has the potential to be for 12 months or longer, depending on the candidates fit into the current team and the work plans of the current team.
Start date to be on or around 4 July 2022.
