Hays is proud to partner with a world renowned, prestigious regulatory compliance body based in Scotland to welcome a diligent, technically gifted regulatory monitoring reviewer to join their company and be a positive addition to their team. Our client have an excellent standing within the profession and they offer an excellent employee package which includes an annualised salary of £45,000 - £57,000 per annum plus car allowance.

Your new role

The role reports into the Director of Regulatory compliance and will be responsible for Assurance across key business activities including Compliance, AML and internal controls review. You'll be part of a proactive team of 6, and responsible for carrying out regulatory reviews and follow-up reviews throughout the year with a variety of different companies, writing reports and addressing responses. The role requires you to be on site on an irregular basis, but otherwise is fully remote. You will be a subject matter expert across AML, regulatory compliance and providing a detailed internal audit on processes and provide recommendations to develop business practices.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal role requires the successful candidate to be a fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS etc) with multiple years experience working in practice as an auditor. Moreover, the candidate needs great overall accounting knowledge and confidence in conveying recommendations to clients. It is preferable, but by no means required, for the candidate to have experience in anti-money laundering compliance processes.

The opportunity is largely remote with travel a few times per month where you will travel to a multi-site environment.
