Finance Manager role in Bristol

  • £60,000 salary or daily rate TBC prior to interview
  • Remote/ Hybrid role- office is based in Bristol area & limited time required in there
  • 1 stage interview with the line manager via Teams (next week)
  • Happy to look at part-qualified or qualified
  • Security clearance is required (3-4 weeks roughly)


This Client is looking for a Finance Manager to join their Commercial, Legal and Finance (CLF) team to cover maternity leave. The role will support the management of cost performance processes and procedures and will also drive and protect profitability for the UK subsidiary. The role will be functionally responsible for supporting the day to day financial elements of the Operations.

Accountabilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the ten year forecast, produced every six months.
  • Support implementation of financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and processes for all finance functions
  • Coordination of financial elements of Service and Cost Performance measures being implemented under the subsidiary including program and site level financials and reporting by Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) under the contract and any subsequent Europe contracts
  • Ensure the cost associated with 'options' i.e. work scope contracted over and above the baseline contract, is collected, appropriately allocated and monitored within limits of liability
  • Provide financial support to both Functional and Logistics organisations, and contribute to achieving the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Assist with developing the planning, tracking analysis, and reporting under the program including annual planning cycles, budget development and variance analysis and reporting
  • Assist with establishing, maintaining and reporting Estimates at Completion (EACs) in compliance with policies and procedures, particularly in relation to 'options' subject to limits of liability.


Attributes

  • Good mathematical, analytical, strategic, and reasoning skills as well as the ability to create and communicate complex business models/solutions
  • Ability to operate within the CLF team and communicate effectively, both internally, with technical staff, and peers
  • Ability to understand and resolve program management and control issues to completion on large complex defence programs
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse and articulate operational metrics through preparation of financial and performance reviews on large complex defence programs requiring earned value management


Key Result Areas:

  • Develop monthly management reports.
  • Reporting and analysis of customer required financial Management Information (MI) and related budget/funding status.
  • Adhere to the Service and Cost Performance processes and procedures in line with Leidos earned value management procedures.

Minimum Qualification/Education Level:
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, and 5 years related experience.
  • Must have strong background working with multiple contract types preferably Earned Value or performance based defence programs of like size, scope, complexity ie ARTMIS and/or Cobra.
  • Must be able to obtain a relevant UK Security Clearance
