ACA Qualified Accounts & General Practice Senior
Are you a fully ACA qualified Accounts Senior / General Practice Senior from an independent practice firm looking to upgrade to a very good quality, traditional medium size London based accountancy firm and carry out a varied role consisting of accounts preparation work, tax returns audit assignments and various advisory based projects such as corporate finance? Are you keen to work in a very good quality firm with excellent progression to manager grade on offer? Your role will be split 70% statutory accounts and tax with 20% spent on audit assignments (optional if you don’t have audit experience or don’t want to carry out audit work) and 10% spent on ad hoc projects such as management accounts, business valuations, cashflows, budgets, forecasts, due diligence etc). Based in a general practice role in a firm with around 50 staff, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, as well as corporation tax computations and leading small audit from planning to completion (if you wish to carry out audit assignments). You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising juniors and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects to manager grade on offer. In this new role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including media and entertainment, property, legal, technology, renewable energy, retail and other interesting sectors. The firm would look at a recently qualified ACA, or someone with some post qualification experience, they would also consider an ACA finalist that has first time passes in their exams. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. Experience of Caseware would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary.
To be considered for this new role (May 2022) you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm with between 3 and 10 partners, and be fully ACA qualified (either newly qualified or with a few years post qualification experience). First time passes are highly desirable. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, leading small audits, supervising juniors and ideally managing clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Caseware would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
