Client Details

Leading NFP organisation are looking to recruit a Rent Team Manager on a 9-to-12-month fixed term contract basis. The successful applicant will have the responsibly for ensuring service delivery for all aspects of rent setting and processing, Sales ledger and balance sheet reconciliations relating to income.

Description

  • Overall responsibility for delivering all rent reviews, ensuring that all regulatory time frames are met and that the process is legally compliant with the Rent Standard
  • Ensure all income is allocated to the residents rent account in line with the SLA's and all suspense items are reviewed and investigated where relevant on a weekly basis as a minimum
  • Responsible for Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly interfaces and investigation and relevant actions ensuring timely completion
  • Monitor tenancy set ups, ensuring they are timely and in line with the SLA's set
  • Manage the publication of re-let rents for all Group properties to ensure the correct charges are used and income is maximised
  • Management of process around the income balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are produced to a consistent format and an agreed They should be accurate and timely
  • Manage the preparation, processing and communication of rent review booklets across all tenures, supporting the requirements of the business and ensuring all legislation is met
  • Second sign off for all Rent Reviews for all tenures and companies throughout the business
  • Able to read leases and ensure fully compliant
  • Produce and monitor KPI's to help drive operational Ensure the targets are reviewed to strive for continuous improvement
  • Ensure the teams adhere to the SLA's set and investigate the root cause if, or when they are not met to reduce reoccurrence
  • Responsible for rent related policies and procedures, ensuring that any changes are amended promptly and communicated effectively to business stakeholders
  • Manage the team's participation in internal and external Working with auditors to provide required information and seek out opportunities for process improvements during annual and procedural audits. Addressing and acting on audit recommendations in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the Business Partnering Team to produce annual rent budgets and working closely with Managements Accounts to explain variance

Drive the reduction of all aged sales ledger balances, ensuring income collection is timely manner

  • Pay close attention to all income that does not relate to standard rental and make sure it is invoiced promptly
  • Support the team with resident enquiries. Alongside any you may receive
  • Work closely with business stakeholders on any relevant ad-hoc projects, acquisitions or disposals
  • Manage Team through one to one process and personal development Setting objectives, coaching and supporting development, measuring progress, motivating and addressing performance issues to ensure potential is maximised
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of the Statistical Data Review for rent charged
  • Responsible for identifying and improving and streamlining processes for the group and a better customer experience
  • Embrace, Champion and uphold the culture, values and behaviors that drive achievement of the organisation's ambitions and goals

Profile

  • Knowledge of legislation relating to calculation and recovery of rent
  • Experience of preparing and analysing financial
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to understand business issues in wider context
  • Able to plan, prioritise and manage high-volume workloads with tight deadlines
  • Able to present financial information in a meaningful way to customers
  • Excellent communication skills, including cross team collaboration
  • Operation of a computerised rent system
  • Customer focussed approach
  • Experience of working in a housing association and/or other regulated environments
  • Experience of managing staff working in an environment requiring attention to detail and high accuracy levels.
  • Experience of driving and improving KPI's and processes within a high-volume team
  • Experience of prioritising when driving multiple teams with competing deadlines
  • Ability to support multiple teams with specialist knowledge
