A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You’ll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.

Reporting into the Tax Reporting Team Lead this role will primarily be responsible for the day to day management of the technical resources within the team to:

  • Ensure effective delivery to existing and new clients;

  • Help determine the overall technical direction of the product as set out in the product road map; 

  • Manage development and support resources to ensure client commitments are met;

  • Ensure the product is built, tested and managed in line with PwC IT strategy;

  • Ensure the product is built using the most appropriate tools and methodologies;

  • Ensure the product conforms to the latest security standards;

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria;

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand;

  • Lead and mentor junior technical members of the team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of defining architecture for large products;

  • The ability to manage a combined development and support team ensuring that service level agreements and client commitments are met;

  • The ability to work effectively in different teams for varying periods of time, building good working relationships with both colleagues and client personnel at all levels;

  • The ability to work effectively in the face of pressure and not compromise professional standards;

  • Strong communication skills particularly around explaining complex technological issues to non-technical people, such as client contacts;

  • Passionate about technology and taking personal responsibility to stay on top of new developments; and

Extensive experience of: 

  • C#; SQL;

  • Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD);

  • Azure and cloud services;

  • Micro Services;

  • Agile development. 


  • Knowledge of existing product would be advantageous
